The List For New Fathers

A new addition to the family can be both a happy and yet stressful time for parents. Here's a short list just for "handling" your husbands cum new fathers, because some things aren't really that obvious when we're all busy with the baby.  :D

- They should be allowed to make (minor) mistakes with their baby without being critically judged for it.

- If they are carrying their baby wrong, don't try to take the baby away from them. They can and will learn how to carry her properly. If the baby is taken away from them each time they are judged to be carrying her wrongly, how will they get the time and chance to learn?

- This is as much a new experience for them as it is for you. If you have prior experience with tending to babies, that's great, but never criticize or even give a look of disdain. New fathers will not appreciate that. Remember, males either fight or run. Never give them cause to make either decision when they are trying their best to help.

- They can also probably handle the lessened attention from their wives for a while as it is only natural for mothers to tend to their baby more, but try not to neglect the husbands too.
