Notes from Jim Rohn's "Three Keys to Greatness"

Hi everyone! Thought to share the points I noted down from Jim Rohn's video of the same title, would be great for all of us to read and follow! Feel free to share it with your friends and people you care about.

One of my favourite quotes from him.

Three Keys to Greatness - Jim Rohn

If you want your future to change, you've to change.
If you will get better, everything will get better for you.

Don't wish for a better wind, set a better sail.

Personal Development:

Money. We get paid for bringing value to the marketplace.

We don't get paid for time, we get paid for value.

Have a good attitude.

Work harder on yourself than you do on your job. Work on your skills, language, vocabulary, competence.

Learn from personal experience, past few weeks/months/years.

Learn from other people's experience. Learn by what we see, what we hear. Listen to someone who has something good to say.

Become a good reader; Bible, Think and Grow Rich, The Richest Man in Babylon.

Keep a journal, don't trust your memory. If you hear something good, write it down.

If you will change, everything will change for you.

Setting Goals:

4 things to consider about attitude.

- How you feel about the past. Let the past be a school

- How you feel about the future. Future is called The Promise. Have the future well designed.

- In setting goals, decide what you want, habits you'd like to acquire, what kind of income, skills you'd like to have.

- Keep the old list of goals. When you get something on the list, check it off.

If the future gets clear and powerful, the price gets easy to pay.

Setting goals is what they make of you in getting there. It's not what you get that makes you valuable, it's what you become.

Don't set goals too low, don't sell yourself out.

Financial Independence:

Philosophy: Poor people usually spend their money first and invest what's left. Rich people usually invest their money first and spend what's left.

Don't spend the whole dollar.

Never spend more than 70 cents (70%)

10c to charity.
10c to Active Capital. Do something to make a profit. Wages will make you a living, profits will make you a fortune. Profits are better than wages.
10c to Passive Capital. Let someone else use a portion of your money.

The borrower is servant to the lender. The lender is the power position.

4 questions to ask yourself:
- Why?
- Why not?
- Why not you?
- Why not now?
