Yesterday (and today) was quite a good day to be home! Well, sorta. Had
my day off yeserday , looked after my fever-ish little girl (who woke up
with 39.5 deg C) and it was also a rare day, having F-5 Tigers coming
closer than they usually do, F-15SG Eagle coming much closer than usual
and spotting F-16s leaving the vicinity of Paya Lebar Airbase.
Just learned another thing with this shot. Having your subject right
smack in the middle (usually a no-no for composition) can also work if
you have a contrasting background that's split into halves. I usually
place my subject using the Rules of Thirds for composition.
Check out the heat trail of the jets in this shot too!

Trust me, the Eagles were coming in really close! :D |

F-5 Tigers seldom come low and close enough for me to get them as large as they appear in this pic. They are usually a speck, even with my 300mm lens and APSC crop camera. |
